Investigations

Incident Response

Upon referral of an allegation from a client, RISQ can dispatch an experienced investigator to meet with the designated client contact person. The investigator will liaise with staff nominated by the client to assess the situation. Based on our initial assessment, RISQ can undertake the following:

Establish the quantum of the fraud
Liaise with in-house and external counsel
Assist in the preparation of a Statement of Claim
Prepare a brief of evidence to be used in legal proceedings
Liaise with law enforcement and regulatory bodies
Provide evidence to support a claim against an organisation's fidelity insurance policy
Examine and secure any evidence on hand
Interview witnesses who may have knowledge to support our investigation
Collect, collate and analyse evidence
Brief management as to our initial assessment
Develop a strategy to continue the conduct of the investigation

Whilst an investigation by its nature is inquisitorial, RISQ investigators have the skills to effectively communicate with staff, employers and employee bodies including union representatives, with the ability to garner the respect and confidence of persons and organisations with whom we liaise. Our investigators are also able to attend any location to conduct an investigation on behalf or our clients, regardless of whether it is metropolitan, rural, interstate or overseas.
